APIT’s Participation in Stream TV Europe 2026

APIT’s participation in Stream TV Europe, as a partner of the event, was driven by the clear interest shown by its members, as well as by the significant importance of an initiative of this scale, which took place for the first time in Lisbon.

Between April 13 and 15, APIT members participated in meetings, established contacts, and met new potential international partners. In addition to networking, producers also had the opportunity to attend various conferences and panels dedicated to the challenges, innovation, and opportunities in the sector, strengthening their knowledge and strategic vision in an increasingly competitive and international context.

Portugal was well represented at Stream TV Europe, particularly in the panel discussion “Portugal on Screen: A High-Growth Market for Streamers & Global Content Players”, which focused on the evolution and growth of the Portuguese sector – the session featured Susana Gato (APIT), Ana Marques (Portugal Film Commission), and Gil Azevedo (Unicorn Factory Lisboa); and was moderated by Marta Dhanis (MD Media Fusion). This moment provided visibility for the work being carried out at the national level, showcasing the talent, maturity, and growth potential of the Portuguese industry to an international audience.

The event brought together around a thousand participants from various parts of the globe, confirming its scale and international impact. This first edition in Lisbon reinforced the importance of investing in internationalization, an area that APIT continues to prioritize. The confirmation that Stream TV Europe will return to Portugal in 2027 is, therefore, very encouraging news and a clear sign of this edition’s success, opening up positive prospects for the future of the national sector.
