CEPI publishes a joint statement with European rightsholders regarding the AI Act implementation measures adopted by the European Commission

In a statement, CEPI formally expresses, as a representative of producers, its dissatisfaction with the published GPAI Code of Practice, the GPAI Guidelines, and the Template for disclosure of a sufficiently detailed summary of training data under Article 53 of the EU AI Act.

Despite the involvement and proximity demonstrated by rightsholders throughout the process, the result does not represent a balanced compromise, leaving aside the main concerns that the sectors, creators, and companies represented have consistently raised.

The joint statement now published brings together rightsholders from the European cultural and creative sectors. Read the full statement here.
